Our group develops processes that facilitate the energy transition from a fossil fuel based society to a more sustainable and carbon-neutral society. In particular, our lab is interested electrocatalytic conversions, where we study the conversion of water, carbon dioxide and nitrogen with electricity from renewable sources into hydrogen and oxygen, carbonaceous products and ammonia, respectively. The products from these reactions can act as renewable fuels for energy storage or valuable fossil-free products and feedstocks for the chemical industry.
We are a part of the Large-Scale Energy Storage section of the department of Process & Energy at TU Delft.
